Alpha MA-1

Alpha-Industries-MA-1

It’s been a while that I want the real bomber jacket from Alpha Industries, the MA-1. I even made a couples of post about it, like this one. I remember at my six grade that everyone had one, and I was one of them. At this time, the grunge, punk period to be a cool kids, you needed a bomber and a pair of 1461 eyes Dr. Martens! Look like nothing has change right! Since this week I finally have my Alpha industries jacket, I choose black,  even if I want them all!!

I wear an XS, be careful with the size, these jackets are made big, I bought for Little Burgundy the women sizes range even for guys  because the size of this one if more actual, less puffy, more minimalist! They are available in store only for the moment and will be soon online too!

Back-To-Work

Back-To-Work-Outfit

Today, was my back-to-reality day, back-to-work you know! I have to confess that it was quite hard to wake up when my Happy from Pharell alarm started this morning at 6am…  But as soon I was back at my desk with my coworkers, I was right where I had to be, at my place :) I realized quick enough that I had missed them and also my everyday tasks which are never the same and make my job so special, I am a really lucky girl that, I know it!

#FMD

Shadow

Yesterday, I did a quick stop at the #FMD, Design & Fashion Festival here in Montreal. I went during the afternoon, and I missed the first show …  So, I took some pictures of the site and some street styles pictures instead ;)

Palm Spring

Palm Spring

No I’m not in Palm Spring, one of my co-worker, called me this name when she saw my vest this week 😉 I have to admit that the sequins mixed with the pattern, make this vest look like it comes right from the 90’s”!

But it’s not, it’s from H&M, I bought it a couple of years ago in NYC, not in Palm Spring haha! They used to have a collection called Fashion Against AIDS that helped Raise Funds for AIDS. I don’t know why they stopped, I remember that I used to wait for this collection to hit the stores. I love this vest, it’s a perfect item you can add to an outfit to add a touch of fun! Do you have a piece like that in your wardrobe? Tell me about it!

Half Bun

Trends-setters.com-Half-Bun

Samurai inspiration? No, this is not where I found this hair look! You know my hair is at the length  that is not long enough nor short enough, and I’m missing inspiration right now…

I’ve seen this look on runways at the latest fashion week, and I found this very interesting. I wasn’t sure if it would look good on me, but I have to say that I like it! First,  it’s perfect for hot summer days, and it’s different from the usual bun!

If you have any good idea of how I should wear my hair at this length, let me know!!

That Denim Shirt

That Denim Shirt

Every girl should have in her wardrobe an oversized denim shirt. Whatever the wash, it is such an easy piece to grab when you don’t know what to wear.

You can wear it in so many different ways. That day, I was wearing it  practically like a dress, but I was wearing short short underneath it. In this editorial, I was wearing it with a knot at the front with skinny black denim. You can also use it as a vest, over a white tee and boyfriend jeans!

These pictures are from Friday night, after work, I changed my outfit for this comfy look, denim shirt, silk short-short, a black panama hat, birks and my minimalist tote from Rachel F available soon at Little Burgundy 🙂 Happy Sunday xx

Total Blue

Total Blue-Zara-Skirt

Total blue, my favorite color, you might have noticed since I’m wearing navy a lot! For me it’s practically like black, a neutral color that I can match with everything! This week I found two new pieces of navy for my wardrobe, first these precious Birkenstock Arizona in matte navy. When they came in at our store, I couldn’t resist and these one are the perfect size for me.

They are in the narrow size, if you want to buy a pair of Birks you have to be careful as there is a big difference between the narrow size and the regular one. Since I have these ones, I don’t even know if I’m going to wear my white again since they are huge on my feet!!

Second buy is this Zara pleated skirt, I was looking for one like that and since I found this one on sale and plus in navy, it was a no-brainer!! It was the first time I wore it yesterday and I’m in love with it, it’s the perfect touch of femininity and fluidity that I was looking for.  On that note, enjoy your Sunday, go outside and have fun!!! xxx

Double Trouble

Huf Flower Bucket Hat

Double trouble, why? Well there are some people saying mixing print is a Fashion Faux Pas, if you know me well, you will know that I hate that kind of law ;)

I actually I love mixing print, a good example is the Chloe dress that I posted last week (last picture). In this outfit I’m wearing two different flowers prints, one on my vintage Ralph Lauren shirt and the other one on the Waikiki Huf bucket hat, which protected me from the rain that day. What do you think about bucket hats? Especially on a girl, I want to hear you!!

Mural Festival 2014

Etam-Mural-Montreal

For four days in Montreal, from the 12 to the 15th of June, took place the Mural Festival. 20 artists from Montreal,  but also from all around the world leave their trace on different walls downtown. I’m totally in love with the concept, it’s a free outdoor museum, free electronic music shows and a good way to start the summer!

I took some pictures for you, But you should go take a look for yourself, even if the festival ended yesterday, the art pieces, they are still there!
