Chloé Resort 2015

For the last couples of weeks, I didn’t have the time to follow my favorite collection, I mean The Resort Collection. Started early May, the designers presented their collections, and finally this morning I took the time to really review my favorites.

First point to remember; we can see a noticeable back to the 70s influence, with the mid length skirts and dresses (longer than what we used to see) feminine cuts, colors and stripes. Other themes, Nautical, this one is not new since it’s one that we see practically every year. Girls meet boys again, but this time quite more feminine and minimalist  is still huge. In term of prints, one that appears a lot is the python print, surprisingly appealing haha!  Big flowers, butterflies and stripes.

For today, here’s one of my favorite collections, Chloé. What I like about it, the asymmetrical mid length skirt, the neutral colors, which is the DNA of Chloé, the patchwork blue, the big flowers print mix with the stripe are by far what I like the most!

Chanel Cruise 2015 Dubai

Welcome to the Mille Et Une Nuits version of Lagerfeld! For this Chanel Cruise collection Karl Lagerfeld choose Dubai to present the collection and to get his inspiration. He wanted to bring a modern touch and he thought that this was the perfect city to bring his project to life.

He asked his Chanel jeweler to come in Dubai and create fantasy jewelry. I love the moon headpiece, it’s so delicate and beautiful, one of my favorite pieces of this collection.

To create his prints, he took his inspiration from ceramic tile from the 11e and 12e century  Muslim Spain and from North of Africa. He said that it’s a modern version of the Chanel style. It is not personally my favorite collection, but I love to way he makes me want to be in Dubai wearing those fancy harems pants and feel like a princess!
