New York Diary Part One

11/11/13

I’m back, but not so happy … I love being in New York, I could have stayed longer! Once my boyfriend got there, we spend most of our time in Brooklyn except for Saturday afternoon where we walk through Lower andUpper East Side and had a picnic in the middle of Central Park!!

This is the first part of my picture diary because there is nothing better than pictures to explain the beauty of New York.

Saratoga

Happy Tuesday! I hope you had a lovely long weekend, for my part I really enjoyed my time in Saratoga, New York. It was a rather unique experience for me to sleep in a tipi. I felt closer to nature and it made me feel really good. Spend time disconnected from all technologies, cooking on a fire and walking through the fall colors. It was perfect, a kind of detox. You should try, go out for a weekend away from home and turn off your cell phone, you will see! Here are some pictures from our trip, they are totally not related to fashion, but I wanted to share them with you anyway xxx

I’m sorry if I didn’t blog for the past two days, it’s summer and so much to do!! I had a friend birthday and yesterday a date with my love 🙂 But I’m starting my Saturday morning with you guys and it’s time for my monthly Street Style Inspiration. I took some pictures while I was traveling because there was so much inspiration that I can get from the peoples over there, so I thought I should share those pictures with you. You have to keep in mind that I’m not a professional street style photographer and it’s kind of hard to took good quality pictures when you are not there for that, you have to be quick, and sometime my camera or Iphone wasn’t ready!!

I could take so much more, but this is what I have, I will write a small comment on each of them to explain why I took it, like the first one, is obviously for the back detail of her jacket 🙂 The pictures will be placed by town, I started by Copenhagen, then Stockholm and for the end Paris. Have a wonderful Saturday xxx

Already the last outfit post from my trip. I still have some pictures to show you, but no more outfits. After our seven days in Stockholm, we flew to Paris for three days. It was my second time there and it always pass by too fast, so much to see and eat there haha. We ate so much during these three days, oulala, macaroons, sandwiches and macaroons again, gelato, cream puffs, everything is too good and attractive, hard to resist!

During this day, I wore some new pieces from Copenhagen and Stockholm. First, my new long jacket from Åhléns, paired with my new favorite skirt and to add simple touch I added a basic slouchy tee and my Nike Free 3.0. It was a beautiful sunny day in Paris, and I really miss my trip, I wish I could still be there…

Thursday already! Wow the week went so fast! Tomorrow I have a lot of appointments for my purchases of the spring 2014 season, a perfect way to end my week back at work. Back to my outfit 😉 these photos were taken on our 3rd day in Stockholm, I wear a lot of colors or no color at all. White is what I like the most!

We were lucky enough to be aboard this magnificent sailboat and have it to ourselves as it was closed for the holidays “midsummer” and the crew left it open for my pleasure! I felt like a kid, exploring every corner of the Af Chapman and pretend it was ours! This beautiful sailboat is a hotel in reality. There are few hotels like this one in Stockholm and I think it is a very great idea, really different!

Don’t you find that it looks like I`m on a cruise all dressed in white on the deck of the boat like that? Haha have a good night folks xx

Malmö

06/24/13

Malmö is only 25 minutes from Copenhagen by train, so during our last day there we took the opportunity to visit this Swedish city. It was a perfect day, the sun was there and the city was beautiful. The Torso tower was just spectacular and the beach was awesome. We spend our last hours of the afternoon making a picnic by the beach and I got the chance to wear my new swimsuit from & other stories that I got in Copenhagen.

It was my first time at this store and now it’s one of my favorites stores. I bought a skirt too, wich I’m going to show you soon! To come back to Malmö, if you are going to Copenhagen soon, you have to stop by Malmö, it’s worth crossing the bridge.

I’m done for tonight. Tomorrow we are going shopping woup-woup hehehe!!! So excited!!! xxx

Copenhagen Design

Because Copenhagen is surrendered by beautiful design, I thought I should share some pictures that I took to get inspirations. I took pictures of the architecture and some in design stores, to bring some ideas home 🙂

Now let me talk about my trip! So far, I love Stockholm, it’s a surprising town, bigger than what I thought it would be, my favorite neighborhood is Södermalm. If I had to compare to another place I should say Williamsburg, New York, kind of similar neighborhood. Since yesterday the June 21th, the midsummer festivities started in Stockholm, it’s their celebration of summer and the sun. Because they are in the dark all winter, I can understand how important is for them to celebrate the sun! Girls are wearing flower crowns. It’s so cute!! Because the city is practically all closed for the week-end, we have no choice than to do what locals do! Yesterday we went to a place called Melt It’s a twenties inspired bar with old music, it was so perfect!! They even served their cocktail in crystal glass!! Today we are going at the Långholmens beach and relax in the sun! Have a good day everyone xxx

I wanted to take five minutes to write you a quick message before leaving tomorrow! I had a crazy week and I didn’t have the time to post like I wanted to, I’m sorry guys. I’m taking my flight to Copenhagen tomorrow night right after work, so I won’t be able to do a new article before Sunday 🙁 At first I wanted to prepare some in advance, but I didn’t get the chance, I finished late at work all week, so much to do!!
