New York Photo Diary

Hey! Sorry for my silence of the past week, a lot happened at work lately. I’ve been promoted to Ladies Buyer and it’s been pretty intense since then, I’m sure you understand! I just got back from New York and I took pictures especially to share them with you.  I will present them to you as a diary, let’s start!!

The first day we did our usual stores visits, to get inspiration and see what is happening on the East Coast. Most of the pictures have been taken in Soho where our hotel was located.

Saturdays Surf NYC, I love that cute little surf shop, it’s quit unusual to pass by a surf shop in NYC, and that makes it even more special and unique. Only for their coffee, it’s worth the trip

Now, let’s talk about food, one of my favorite things to do in New York is to try new restaurants. I have a list on my phone and every time I go, I try a new place. This time our Vice President was kind enough to let me use my list !! We tried two of them, first of, Miss Lily. OMG I was so happy to try it, too good and the atmosphere is really fun. You really must try the corn !!

Then we tried Two Hands  for lunch, if you are looking for a healthy place to start your day, this is the place to go. I’ve tried the Avo Toast with a side of chorizo and a cold press juice, Beet, Ginger, Carrot and pineapple, it was perfect!!

For breakfast, my GMM brought me to Balthazar Bakery, it’s a traditional French bistro,  on spring street.

Oh and another must in Soho, is Dean and Deluca. It’s a gourmet food grocery and to-go place, Karim and I always stop there before leaving New York, it’s perfect for a picnic.

NYFW Spring/Summer 2015 Favorite show Part 1

Six days have past since the beginning of the NYFW. For today I want to share with you my three favourite shows so far. I haven’t had the time to see everyone of them, but my biggest one and my usual favorite!

The Row

Let’s start with The Row. I love how they are able to give this unique sophisticated modern twist to their collection. The fluidity, the tonal colors and the huge oversized pieces bring this collection to the next level. I also like the fact that the only shoes on the show are simple double straps slides. I can’t wait to see how they will elevate the line every season.

Rag & Bone

You can’t go wrong with Khaki, Rag & Bone have understood and used it to their advantage. I love how they integrated men’s inspired pieces, but in a  sexy way. My big crush in this collection is the pleated skirt attached to a chino base, LOVE!! I also fell for the oversized parka and their digi print! I just can’t wait to see their footwear collection, they look fabulous!!

Tibi

What a beautiful collection Tibi offered us this season. I would share the entire collection with you since I literally love every pieces. First let’s start with the footwear, we can’t see them well in the pictures, but for what I could see, OMG the flat mules in the second picture, don’t you want them!! The highlight of the collection, they integrated the major trends of the season perfectly, a practical and easy to wear look. We can see a certain Japanese influence with the quilted fabrics, the belt, the sleeves and also the hats!!

Stay tune for part two!

June Street Style

First day of June, time for a new street style inspiration! I looked up at my favorite Street Style photographers and choose for you the ones I like the most! From New York, Paris and Milan we can see that the weather differs from one Country to an other.

What I really like,is the leather texture in the first picture, the freshness of the girl in the second photo, the black&white in the third picture, the minimalist black tote on picture four, the clutch on picture five, her entire look in picture six, the details on picture seven, this lightweight outfit, on photo eight, the Marginality on picture nine and the perfect mix of white and oversize on picture ten!  xxx

Street Looks From NYC Fashion Week FW 2014-2015 Part One

There’s a lot of Catwalks going on since the 6th of February at the Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week. When I was looking for street styles inspirations, I noticed that a lot of girls and guys didn’t take the cold weather of New York city at this time of the year into consideration. A lot of them where way too undressed for the cold and they seemed frozen on their picture and for me when you can’t manage to dress considering the weather it’s a fashion faux-pas…

So, that being said, here’s my favorite street styles from the first days at the Mercedes  Benz fashion week. Scarves, Oversize coat, fur and layering where everywehre. One of the best to layer the coolest pieces of clothes together is the Australian blogger Margaret Zhang from Shine By Three wich you can see on the last picture. Even if it’s summer for her in her Country she managed to dress warm and still look really stylish, that’s right girl you know how to do it!!
